Ways to merge samples

Hello, a while ago i used to be able to merge samples to create drum loops or chords in order so save up tracks in Octamed SS. However, i simply can't remember how i did it.

I tried Octameds built in recording function, but it sounds horrible. Usually i avoid Mixing mode as i never get it to sound right. Searching Aminet.net and this forum i found nothing that actually works so far.

Maybe it was a tool called mod-2-sample or something alike, but i am not sure. I remember it beeing really easy and the results sounding exactly like the source mod/med. But then again, maybe my memories are deceptive.

Anyway, can someone help me out? How do you merge your samples? Any feedback is welcome. Cheers!

I don't know about Octamed SS but Protracker (Edit: V2.x don't but V3.x) has mod2smp built-in. External mod2smp: http://aminet.net/search?query=mod2smp

Alternatively you can use DigiBoosterPro with it's wav rendering mixer. And/or Digiroller tool.

Protracker can convert pattern to sample. I think the button is called PAT2SMP. I hope I'm correct.

PAT2SMP is the button in my ProTracker 2 clone, I don't think any PT program on Amiga has that one. Maybe as MOD2SMP.

I remember on one of the tracker program had a button that it will convert a pattern to sample. I did that few times. I have to check my disks.

Send a message via ICQ to ElectroBlaster
How about SoundTracker II Pro.

This can mix down tracks and create samples out of channels/tracks.
