Picasso IV optimisation
I have a Picasso IV in my A4000 running with Picasso96 at 800x600 16bits Any advises to configurate it and get the best of it ?
I have seen PVS and PSI but I don't really know what to do with them. I heard about promoting screen but again I haven t got a clue. |

Same here! Also PIV in 800x600. Read the P96 docs but this doesn't really cover all settings for ToolTypes and Environment Settings...

what optimizations you think you can get??? maybe overclock it, that's all... unless you are refering to the p96 speed related settings...

well as you know those drivers are a bit "opened" and can be tuned
so I wondered if there were anything to know or do to get the best of my gfx card |

The main "tuning" you can do is make sure that workbench doesnt try to put any of its graphics in CHIP RAM. There is some tweaks that you have to do to make this happen under 3.1. I cannot remember what it was ages ago.
I think you have to run blitter patches? |

The only real optimisation is to tweak the flickerfixer from the default 50 Hz to upto 100 - 150 Hz (tube monitor permitting). I have 100 Hz PAL, 120 Hz NTSC.
