Updated - Amiga 500 & Games for sale

Hi,

I am posting as new thread becuase it will no let me edit the title of my Amiga Games thread and since their is now an Amiga included its better all posted as one.

So here goes.

Amiga 500 with ram upgrade (reporting 487k + 851k fast memory)
PSU
Scart lead
Joystick (sorry no mouse)
4 containers of games(backups/blanks)/demos/ see pics

I will split the games from the Amiga if need be.

I want £20 for the Amiga and £15 for the games or you can have the whole lot for £30

Collection from Sevenoaks in Kent (UK), or Bromley where I work. I am also willing to make a short drive to meet if someone is serious to buy.

Here are some Photo's:

Thanks for looking.

Steve.

@Steve,

What is the A500's Kickstart ROM version?

Give me the answer I'm looking for and you've sold the lot!

PS. This question from the previous (now deleted) thread wasn't answered.

@Steve,

As you know, the A500's internal floppy drive packed up when I was using it to check the contents of some of the the backup disks...

I am happy to report that the drive has been restored to full working order after stripping it apart and cleaning the read/write heads with a cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol.

In these forums, I have often advised others to do this when faced with floppy drive failure under similar circumstances, but I'll admit that when it finally happened to me I was not at all convinced that it would do the trick. I was actually very surprised to see the drive working normally when I reassembled and refitted it!

I think as these discs are aging they might be leaving a residue on the head's. I don't think they were expected to last this long when they were produced...

Yes, I think you're right. But it seems that the problem is often worse when the disks have been left in storage for an extended period without being used.
