Maybe someone else could help you out with some of those disks? There are a lot people from the UK in here so maybe someone can collect some of the disks to go through them before they die of death?

Quit your job, get up in the loft and sort them out NOW.

BippyM will fund your living through monthly paypal transactions.

If you need any help just get BippyM to pay one of his 131 children to carry the boxes around.

Such a simple solution!

Check out Gravity-Force if you want to see the original game that others tried to emulate

I still have those 3 boxes with 2800 disks sitting in my loft in my new house now so things never change

If I win the lottery I might find enough time on my hands to actually sort through them.
Hey, one more return !

I always hate it if people just leave without a trace.
You showed them, Beelzebub! Way to go!

@RCK: also thanks for protecting the author from getting deleted because of only 1 post!
Especially for the HOL team it is essential to have a way to find authors by their e-mail addresses! Sometimes one post on EAB is the only trace we have!

Two old friends visited me a week ago, and amonst other retro-gaming, we played some Mayhem (the green level that is the only one I have) on my old, yellowed A500. The game still rocks like it did when we were in high school!

If only I could get the other levels to work, I have had no luck with the dms-files or the adf's extracted from them... It's been over a year since I first got the dms's, I'll have to give it another go...

Just to make sure - there really are working versions of the other levels?

There was a version of Mayhem in the zone some time ago that had three disks. Each disk could be booted separately, and each contained one different level.
All levels work, at least in WinUAE.

Back in the day, when I was in school, I only ever had one disk. Thanks to eab, I not only got the game, but two more levels on top

I put it back in the zone, BIG thanks again to BeelzebubUK for providing the original external links to this rare classic!

Huge thanks, rsn8887!

The files are dms's, I'll try to make them work (I guess that my earlier problems happened at the dms->adf conversion stage) this time!

If I end up having problems, would you mind converting them to adf for me (I'm intending to put them on disks for real Amiga hardware)?

Hmm, I still can't get the game to work. I'll first try to get the dms's to work on WinUAE, befrore trying to transfer it to Amiga. I have WinUAE 1.3.4, emulating 68000 processor, 512 chip, 512 slow, ECS Agnus (or OCS).

Loads, then decrunch flickers, then guru. Any ideas?

I have also now tried extracting the dms-files to adf with XDMS. No problems in the conversion, but WinUAE behaves the same way with the adf's. Loads 17 tracks, then the decrunching flicker, then guru. If I let the disk load again, I get a blue screen that stays there.

I have tried dozens of configurations in WinUAE with the same result. Could someone give me the right configuration or other advice? Thanks!

None of the links works...

Hi, seeing that this thread has lived for years, I hope there is a chance that someone still have the Mayhem disks? None of Belzebubs links work as of today. One of the gfx guys on that game is in fact my brother, and it would've been great to fire this up in WinUAE and check if I'm still better than him (or was it the other way around?).

Anyway, all help appreciated!

Cheers!
