Gotek with RGB Rotary Encoder?
Hi,
Anybody tried using an RGB rotary encoder to replace the built-in LEDs of the Gotek? I'm able to get the Blue and Red RGB LEDs mapped to the Green (L4) and Red (L5) LEDs of the Gotek and it seems to be working nicely. With this setup, the RGB Rotary Encoder will be Blue normally, and then turn Purple when there is activity. The breakout board for the RGB encoder is too big for the Gotek case so I probably need to remove it and solder directly. I had to use a transistor to invert the signal from the switch of the RGB Rotary encoder, as it was the opposite to what the Gotek is expecting. |

For those that are interested, this page shows how it is wired up to the Gotek:
