A4000 Keyboard Interface

Hi,

I have an A4000 coming but without a keyboard. I stupidly sold all of mine years ago and with the lack of supply now i'm not sure which USB or PS/2 interface is best just to get a PeeCee keyboard on it for the time being?

Back in the day I used a PS2 keyboard with an adapter. It's okay.

You can modify an A500 keyboard to work with the A4000. There’s a howto guide somewhere here on the forum

The PS/2 adapters are generally ok, but they can be picky about whether they support Ctrl-A-A correctly. Many USB keyboards will work with a PS/2->USB keyboard adapter but again you need to worry about whether Ctrl-A-A works correctly. So if you have a few PC keyboards around to try then just about any should work fine. There are some complaints about old PS/2 adapters that did not do multi key presses correctly, but just about anything you get now should work fine.
