Eye of the Beholder (EOB) 1 & 2 AGA - Missing game files

Does any know what files could be missing as FS-UAE keeps saying it's missing game files and cannot be launched.

The folder and files work perfectly fine in Amiga Forever through folder launching in OS, so it's obviously not missing anything

FS-UAE doesn't have an OS built in so how does that work?

I know how to do it in AF/WinUAE etc

EOB AGA I & II work only under a WB installed. you must install the font files where stated by CFOU , check the readme file

I'm not that up to date with FS-UAE myself, Neil.
Do you just add a hardrive folder under the harddrive tab?

Arggh I KNOW!

It's only because in FS-UAE it shows up as a runnable game if you have the directory as shown from the game database. Which isn't the case, this is no simple WHDload folder.

@Neil are you talking about this game for example? EOB2-AGA-MAP-V1.05.lha

That one should be recognized by the online database, and work out of the box. Just make sure you don't have deleted any of the files since FS-UAE Launcher detected it.

(You can simply download the .lha file from http://eob.wikispaces.com/EOB2+AGA+GAME again, put it somewhere where FS-UAE Launcher is configured to look - no need to unpack - and update the game database)

Thanks a lot for that, might be worth putting in the error window rather than files not found, but no EOB2-AGA-MAP-V1.05.lha or EOB-AGA-MAP-V1.09.lha files found?

I can't really - not like that - because it isn't a requirement that the files are named that, or that the files are compressed into the same archive, or even that the files are compressed at all. FS-UAE Launcher only complains if it does not find all the required files (somewhere).

Of course, it could still be improved, such as informing you exactly what individual file(s) are missing.

The link to the official page including download, FrodeSolheim posted above (#7), is still valid (EOB 1 link down at the left sidebar of that page).
As far as i know there is no other AGA Version (no AGA Disk Version).
