Manual for Holiday Maker
I'm searching the manual for the "Pack the bag" scene, can't find the right combination.
And yes, i know there are cracked versions and a WHDLoad install (which only removes further ingame protections, as it seems). But i want to try the CDTV version of this classic graphic adventure. Thanks in advance. http://hol.abime.net/2986 |

I've been after this as well, although after I asked eLowar to do some research for me, the pack the bag scene is not any form of copy protection and it probably isn't written in the manual either. He did manage to work out how to get past that scene after several attempts.
Now unfortunately after that the game asks you for a code and that IS copy protection and I can't find it anywhere on the net, and as for there being cracked versions I wish I knew where because I can't find any! |

I'm pretty sure i had a cracked version, back in 1989/1990. I hope eLowar can remember the bag scene, have to ask him.
For the Code, i found this here: Code:
Code 1: KERTAKIS Code 2: NEW SAXONY |

I don't think he does, he sort of hit on it without really paying attention to his selections, but I remember him saying you can work it out if you carefully read what it says after you make your item selections as it basically hints as to what you should take and what you don't need.
I'm sure there are/were cracked versions of it but there's only one uncracked version in tosec as far as I know. And as for those codes, I have them as well but unfortunately it's not the right code. The first one it asks for is a number, I did find some posts on legacy where several people asked for the code but alas no one had the answer. |

So maybe Wepl could be our last option. He wrote the WHDLoad install, will send him a mail.

Wepl updated his WHDLoad install and included his german solution. The codes & needed bag scene infos are included too. The codes are the same as i posted before. Are you sure they didn't work for you, Belg?
http://whdload.de/games/HolidayMaker.html Edit: Aah, now i understand it. The game asks for a identity card number after the bag scene. I asked Wepl again. Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 21 March 2007 at 01:52. |

There's the pm-1991-225 code in plaintext in the Holiday Maker CD Image. In the disk version at this location there is 250-862. Maybe that works, I haven't tried it as I haven't played it yet.

There's what appears to be another copy protection check half way through so in case you or anyone else interested doesn't have them then here are the names needed.
ARNOLD Altmeyer, TIM Berger, KEN Earp, MONA Gatsos, KEVIN Harper, VERA Hunter, LAURA Hynes, BERNIE Knopfler, ALIKI Loraca, RAYMOND Marlowe, RONALD Norman, FRED Taylor, RAY Thomson. |
