Amiga 1200 not powering up sometimes
Hi there, I have a problem with my A1200... sometimes when i flick the power switch it just sits at a grey screen with the floppy drive clicking. I think that the motherboard is damaged as it only started acting up like this since I put a faulty 030 accelorator in it... I didnt know it was faulty at the time and have since replaced with a working 030 board.

Try checking to see if the ROM chips are seated properly and check that the new 030 card is pushed onto the motherboard slot and sitting "Home" as it were...
Does it boot normally without the card in place? All ribbon cables fitting onto the motherboard correctly? As Twizzle states, check there is sufficient power from the supply... Basic checks first I guess... |

thanks for the prompt answers guys, yea the psu has been ruled out as I have two other amiga 500 psu's that I have tried and it does exacltly the same... yep checked all cables, conections and pushed down on the chips to makesure they are seated. The 1200 behaves exacltly the same with or with out the 030 card installed... is it a motherboard issue?
