Hacking SIMMs to allow for overclock

Hello.
Overclocking our 680x0-based turbocards is often difficult due to SIMMs not being fast enough. So here's my idea:

Can we desolder RAM chips from PC133 DIMMs and put them onto our SIMMs?

I think SIMMs aren't made of just RAM ICs, but perhaps the Amiga doesn't use the extra chip, I don't know. Otherwise they could be homebrewed out of some PLD, maybe. We should investigate about the number of data lines and address lines these chips have, but overall this idea makes sense to me. Custom SIMM PCBs can be made, if needed.

No. SDRAM is not compatible with DRAM.
