Ruff n Tumble WHDLOAD on a 2MB machine :(

I'm trying to get Ruff n Tumble to load on a self-booting CD32 disk here, but no luck. With 2MB Chip and 1MB fast in UAE it's fine, but when I use only 2MB chip RAM (below the minimun requirements I think) it fails to respond to any key presses... the game still runs, but pressing the keyboard locks you out of the game. Can people please test their versions and post up a working copy? I'd really, really appreciate it!

I don't think it'll run properly on 2mb chip only regardless of who created the slave or what machine it's running on.

If you don't have another real Amiga, I can run one of mine at 2mb only tonight & test it just to see if it fails.

Thanks - I'd really appreciate that. I dont have access to any amigas at the moment. Please try it out on a 2MB machine direct from HD with a minimal startup sequence and let me know if the keyboard locks up the game...it might(?) be an emulation issue after all.

Are there any tricks for clawing back memory that I can use in a startup-seq? I've looked at some of those CD32 compilations but don't understand half the commands in their start-up scripts (KRAD, etc.), and likewise I don't know what all the arguments that go with WHDLoad mean either...

On Amiga 1200 with only @mb Chip works fine (without startup-sequence of course) but with slave below 1.4. I understand that only never slaves are working with WHDLoadCD32 tool, right ?

Hmmm. I'm not using WHDLoadCD32... Where can I find a copy of that, or an installed version of R&T (below 1.4)? Please can someone post up in the zone?

When you say 'without' startup-sequence, how do you mean? I've got a minimal startup sequence that basically executes the WHD slave, but that's all.

Not that it helps, but sorry man, went to try it on my A2000 with RAM removed & all hell broke loose!

For some reason my startup-sequence was screwed & trying to run Ami-PC...why I don't know? Loads of other things going wrong too

Lucky I back up my HDD!!!!

WHDLoadCD32 is in the WHDLoad archive on the WHDLoad website

I presume RnT version 2 doesn't work at all?

WHDLoadCD32 is in the latest WHDLoad archive on its website.

Oh and it's Ruff 'n' Tumble, not Ruff 'n' Rumble

Simply, hold both mouse buttons start without startup-sequence. You will see only CLI. Since WHDload can be easily started from CLI you should force this game to work only on 2Mb Chip. But one thing - without at least one disk preloaded loading game might be pain, it takes plenty of time for OS swaps.

Thanks guys for all the help here. OK - I guess I'll have to accept that there's no way to get this to run 100% on an unexpanded CD32.

Ruff & Rumble - sorry, meant R&T... Posted this late last night.

Why did you tried WHDLoadCD32 ? It was designed for this console.

EDIT

Ok, it doesn't work with only 2Mb Chip, keyboard didn't respond nor to O or quit key. But I also tested without startup-sequence and this time 1 disk was preloaded, everything was fine. You really need fast mem.
