It looks familiar, but no name comes to mind. I guess we'll get the solution today (Monday) somewhere along the line, only a little more patience

If it's an Amiga game and none of us got it we'll all have to kick each other!

Mr H said that two of the bottom line were Amiga games and I can only think that this one and 25 are the ones?

There is a chance that #21 is one but I kind of doubt it; that looks like a blue sky background and Amiga games tend to have a gradient, not a flat color. Definitely not #22 since that is Fish from Nuclear Throne and definitely not #24 because that's a typical (emulated?) Gameboy game look.
Get those kicking boots ready, darkwave. |

Unless I'm mad (didn't check as I was completely certain) - no 21 is Jungle Hunt arcade. Now who might look like a wally!

July Quiz - answers & score That's the way I like it - about 100 participants (okay, 95), lots of good entries and exactly ONE player with full score... a truly deserved first place. The difficulty level was a bit higher, so I had to help with more clues. I hope you had fun though! You'll see who it is at the end of this post, now first the names of the games as text, then the pictures, then the high score. 1) Mega Man 6 Only one player did not know the "Blue Bomber".... Answer rate: 99% Other suggestions: - 2) Axiom Verge I expected the mad scientist with the giant "glitch" gun to be more recognisable, hasn't this game been highly praised by the gaming press? Answer rate: 68% Other suggestions: Bionic Commando, Broforce 3) Turrican 3 Alternatively "Mega Turrican". Answer rate: 76% Other suggestions: Metroid, Probotector, Robo Cop. 4) Metal Slug 2 From the second part onwards, there were also female characters. Answer rate: 82% Other suggestions: Super Star Wars 5) Crypt of the Necrodancer. Two people named the Zelda sequel "Cadence of Hyrule", which was also fine. Answer rate: 80% Other suggestions: Iconoclasts, Ittle Dew, Legend of Zelda. 6) Into the Breach Answer rate: 75% Other suggestions: Nectaris, Riftwalkers, Space Hulk, XCOM 2. 7) Parodius 2. This game has several names, but the series was enough for me. Answer rate: 64% Other suggestions: Ordyne 8.) Horace Answer rate: 63% Other suggestions: Crash Test Dummies, Kairobotica 9.) Pengo Answer rate: 58% Other suggestions: Dig Dug, Flappy Bird, S 10) Soccer Kid Answer rate: 76% Other suggestions: - 11) Jump King Guys, I spent a whole clue to make it clear that it is NOT Shovel Knight! Answer rate: 53% Other suggestions: 20x Shovel Knight, Shuffle Knight, Gunbird. 12) Time Bandit. Four games were really hard to guess this time, this is one of them. Answer rate: 16% Other suggestions: 6x Garrison, Quartet, Xenophobe 13) Fantastic Night Dreams: Cotton Answer rate: 72% Other suggestions: Mystic Riders, Touhou Project 14) Mappy Answer rate: 58% Other suggestions: The Mouse Police, Itchy & Scratchy 15) Arabian Nights Answer rate: 55% Other suggestions: Aladdin, Magical Hat 16) Markos Magic Football Solving rate: 55% Other suggestions: - 17) Smash TV At first it was very difficult, but after my hint it wasn't anymore Answer rate: 55% Other suggestions: Another World, Judge Dredd, Parodius. 18) Cruise for a Corpse Answer rate: 26% Other suggestions: Alone in the Dark, Pixel Detective, Police Quest 2, This Is The Police. 19) Tryrush Deppy Answer rate: 35% Other suggestions: Car-Vup, Clockwork knight, Putt-Putt, Super Skidmarks, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. 20) Shower with your Dad Simulator Answer rate: 53% Other suggestions: Ministry Of Broadcast, The Age Of Decadence 21) Jungle Hunt This arcade screenshot was also among the particularly difficult four titles, only ten people got it right. Answer rate: 11% Other suggestions: Boulder Dash, Climber, Hard Hat Mack, Lanky Miner, Manic Miner, Pitfall, Skate or Die, Skate Peasant. 22) Nuclear Throne Answer rate: 36% Other suggestions: Bards Tale, Dropsy, Enter the Gungeon, Fish, Minecraft Pocket Edition, Wargroove, Zelda Oracle of Ages. 23) Elite Getting this one right wasn't for casuals... only four people were able to correctly match this graphic from the space travel classic. Answer rate: 4% Other suggestions: 4x Space Quest, Manic Mansion, Metroid, Revenge of the Mutant Camels 2, Star Commander, Star Trek, Wing Commander. 24) Lunar Lander And BAM, here's the kingmaker: only Windfish recognised the protagonist of this Japan-only Game Boy game (an extended version of the arcade classic) and thus scored full points! Answer rate: 1% Other suggestions: Catrap, Digger, Going Home, Miner, Mole Mania, Our Church and Halloween. 25) Dangerous Streets An excruciatingly bad fighting game. Answer rate: 27% Other suggestions: Street Fighter, Body Blows, Total Carnage, Wrestlemania, Zelda. Now here is the quiz picture again: Answer picture: Direct link: https://i.imgur.com/W3qla7n.png HIGH SCORE 01 - 25 points - hcg - windfisch 02 - 23 points - ntl - lifer 03 - 23 points - mnc - Dream-Team 04 - 23 points - gsg - TheLastToKnow 05 - 23 points - hcg - excelsior 06 - 23 points - rta - marek 07 - 23 points - spz - The_BACH 08 - 22 points - ign - striderblade 09 - 22 points - eab - Havie 10 - 22 points - rta - AuraPaladinne 11 - 22 points - eab - darkwave 12 - 22 points - rta - residentgrigo 13 - 21 points - mmx - Knuckles 14 - 21 points - mmx - fedprod 15 - 21 points - mtc - Valdien 16 - 20 points - gsg - partykiller 17 - 20 points - mnc - Gerhard S. 18 - 20 points - rta - Roarer 19 - 19 points - hcg - teroknor 20 - 19 points - rta - Mushirigo 21 - 19 points - eab - Biscuit 22 - 19 points - eab - Nobby_UK 23 - 19 points - rta - EarthPainting 24 - 19 points - mtc - Wibblewozzer 25 - 18 points - rta - Cucurbitacée 26 - 18 points - mtc - Parsnip 27 - 18 points - rtc - Antiriad2097 28 - 18 points - pop - A Gentle Breeze 29 - 18 points - sh2 - Gatar 30 - 18 points - mnc - Mangamaniac2171 31 - 17 points - rta - Illusionary 32 - 17 points - can - Dark Kariya 33 - 17 points - mnc - elementalMaster 34 - 17 points - mnc - Dolphin 35 - 17 points - ntl - GrailUK 36 - 16 points - m!g - Red XIII 37 - 16 points - m!g - Kong 38 - 15 points - nto - Lockenvogel 39 - 15 points - mmx - Klunky 40 - 15 points - mnc - Lukulus 41 - 15 points - sh2 - Vino 42 - 14 points - mtc - MegaApple 43 - 14 points - hcg - Personman 44 - 14 points - mnc - Yeboah17 45 - 13 points - pop - Don Como 46 - 13 points - mmx - TheSnesFreak 47 - 12 points - mtc - FunnyJay 48 - 12 points - lgs - Numfuddle 49 - 12 points - hcg - alexmate 50 - 12 points - gpo - Navarone 51 - 12 points - mtc - mssq 52 - 12 points - m!g - geohound 53 - 12 points - m!g - SonicFanNerd 54 - 11 points - gms - hellermarie 55 - 11 points - rta - Emmadanstonu 56 - 11 points - gpo - Eddie 57 - 11 points - rta - malus 58 - 11 points - nto - Zarathustra 59 - 10 points - ntl - Dogorilla 60 - 10 points - gav - Wizdom 61 - 10 points - pop - dixip 62 - 10 points - rta - Blufunk 63 - 09 points - 4py - schockbock 64 - 09 points - rta - PsionBolt 65 - 08 points - rtc - Elgin_mcqueen 66 - 08 points - rpg - Zion 67 - 08 points - gms - kopyright 68 - 08 points - mmx - Lynx 69 - 08 points - mnc - HomiSite 70 - 08 points - rta - aLaxLuthor 71 - 07 points - mmx - LittleChoco 72 - 07 points - gpo - rave 73 - 07 points - sh2 - godzella 74 - 07 points - rta - Luke88 75 - 07 points - mnc - Mitschel 76 - 06 points - mtc - QFNS 77 - 05 points - rpg - D4rkD 78 - 05 points - hcg - Snake 79 - 05 points - mnc - Klees 80 - 04 points - eab - Mailman 81 - 04 points - pop - PUH 82 - 04 points - lgs - svenoble 83 - 04 points - mmx - Dnamei 84 - 04 points - pop - Sascha 85 - 04 points - nto - Ande 86 - 03 points - nto - Matchet1984 87 - 03 points - sh2 - FoxSpitzer 88 - 03 points - gpo - Bully 89 - 03 points - gms - hellifanboy 90 - 03 points - 4py - Scorplian 91 - 03 points - sh2 - BVBFabi09 92 - 02 points - rpg - Glubbfan 93 - 02 points - nto - 4C8en 94 - 02 points - gav - Yoshi 95 - 01 points - mmx - Shades Well then, award ceremony: Congratulations to windfisch, lifer, Dream-Team, TheLastToKnow and marek, you are the TOP 5 and have won this round! Darnit. I knew it was a space theme (obvious really) but I've never actually played Elite. And Dangerous Streets, lol.
Good scores everyone. Looking forward to the next one Mr H. |

Well i forgot to actually submit something but I did invest some time into this one... I found it a very hard one, I didn't have so much to go on to do research this time around. If you haven't played or seen the games this round was pretty harsh. And again there are lots of games here I have never even seen before.
Shower with your dad simulator. Oh man, I thought that one was West of Loathing. But that makes no sense now that I think about it because West of Loathing is black & white Doh. |

August Quiz - Riddles & Puzzles The players have decided, the next round is all about puzzles! Not quite what I expected (my "time travel" material collection was already done...) and not really my genre either, but let's have a look. So this time it's about puzzle games and puzzles in games... lots of expected classics are included, but I've tried for a few surprises too! Deadline is Tuesday 31st of August, enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/ Here comes the quiz, enjoy: Direct link: https://i.imgur.com/2lEN0AH.png |

Only 8 At least puzzle (and adventure) games is a theme that should be easier to search...
#8 is going to kill me, I recognise that goat but which of the couple dozen adventure games was it in... grrr. There is one glaring omission in this list though, I'll have some choice words about that when the round is over. |

Up to 11 now... ho boy, I take back that this is easier to google. I also take back that #8 is going to kill me, that one was actually the easiest to find.
