Ah cheers Biscuit, appreciated I've still got some time to get a better score, hopefully much better than my last score and since that was my first go in god knows how long I should be able to increase it. Leaderboard too is a fantastic game, although I have NEVER really got into the Amiga version but I used to play the C64 version all the time |

I started another playthrough of Gods and could substantially better my score:

2,203,557 Had to follow the guide due to time constraints. Gods is too hard, unfair and has poor framerate. But I still rate it 8.5 due to the level design, bosses and pixel art. That's the next great Amiga classic scratched off my list. Just a couple more and I will have "played through Amiga". Btw., pretty sure Harry's score is world record. Well played John, but don't sell yourself short. You took your score from before you collected the final bosses loot. I've put the higher score on the board.
As for Harry |

Ah, thanks. That's a huge difference - now I have almost the same score as Harry.

Gods too hard? Take this! (Screenshot taken after 5th loop - I had to cancel the game because I cannot play Gods all the week, there was a bit of Golf to do)
Golf, Muirfield Village: 100 Malus points for unplayed course: 200 Total: 300 I simply cannot hit the slice middle. Maybe I should stick to Gods instead... Last edited by Harry; 28 July 2020 at 23:28. |

I can empathise with this. The power and aim bar move quick enough that they feel a little unpredictable at times. I'm not good at consistently hitting the right mark and every so often make a big mistake. It does get better with practice though.
Muirfield is also a tricky course (with a great layout). Westchester is much easier. |

I get the impression that you like this game. It's pretty easy once you know it's secrets, intricacies and quirks. But it's too hard as long as you don't. |

Nowhere near anything close to you guys but my final score.
118,493 Oh FFS!! I've tried every combination to post the screenshot through my phone and post it. portrait, landscape, rotation... etc but it constantly comes out sideways or upside down... ???????? I'll stick to doing through the PC from now on. Last edited by blade002; 25 October 2021 at 15:39. |

My phone is so rubbish it would probably have a panic attack trying to upload images.
I've still not made it off Gods level 3 but am having so much fun with Leader Board I'm okay with that. Westchester CC = 66 Muirfield Village = 81 Total = 147 |

some EAB member told me that he played Gods to death until the point where the score overflows and the digits are becoming buggy. Not sure if he said that he did the 4 levels 17 times or something...
The difficulty stops increasing after completing the levels 2 times IIRC. So if you can manage this difficulty once (means: monsters need more shots to be killed) then you can manage it forever: the game repeats and is mostly the same. Very little random parts. |

What's the point of looping in a game like this anyway?

Well, I like playing this, and wanted to look finally how far I would come with a concentrated effort. But since loop 5 is not harder than loop 4, it becomes boring. Will probably not touch it for a while.
A note to John: I saw you buying a power potion first in the shop. That (mostly) not helping, a power potion only improves weapons you already have and also not over the number of grade 3. So only buy it when you have a weapon not maxed out. |

My final score. I'd hoped to get under par but those steep greens kept hampering me.
Westchester CC = 66 Muirfield Village = 74 Total = 140 |

When I recorded the playthrough I had automatic switching active in WinUAE which disables sound output when there is none causing the video and audio to get out of synch. Going to do another playthrough without automatic switching. |

Well, World Class Leader Board did not set the forum on fire. But I enjoyed it and it did give me what will probably remain the easiest win in the competition ever. I'll take the achievement.
Meanwhile, Gods was much more popular and brought out some great efforts and completions, which is always cool. Harry came 1st proving his mastery of the game with an especially high score. New round will be up in a mo. |
