Number of smilies per post.

Is it possible to have the forum engine see smilies as sperate from regular images, so we can use as many as we want? If not, would it be too much to ask if the number of images per post could be increased to, say, 32?

Not urgent, but it would be nice.

Yes please, since it's all a matter of "pics per post allowed" our cat wing thread would like a few bonus ones too

Oh noes... Not moar cat piccies per post in the Cat Wing thread Maybe RCK can just exclude this one thread
Maybe an increase to 20 (including smilies) would be useful. Only reached the limit twice so far

Seems to me other boards are using quite a lot of smilies but are on a lower vBulletin® Version - 3.6.7 against EAB's - 3.7.0 and they are using much larger smilies too. Check the linkie

http://www.flyersphans.com/forums/mi...do=showsmilies
Check the
:wizz: smillie there are some other good ones too

btw. I don't want to know who they are, Ice hocky or something and the linkie is only there as an example

Yup, they sure are Thorham... The usual suspects, once one of them starts it's like the plague

Erm. I was actually being serious and I covered my back by regarding the linkie as an example too, so this means, you can't mean me

Hey, I really meant what I've written in my first post (both the thing about Cat Wing aswell the increase to 20) After DH posted the link for the other smilies and I found the 'hit the nail on the head' one I couldn't resist to post it

I don't need an increase for the pictures in one post, but a small increase might be useful for some members that tend to write posts with over 10000 letters (is that better? )

Already been discussed and RCK took action: Increasing post size

I know Damien, but with these large posts (> 10000 chars) it might be a good idea also to increase the smiley limit Just my 2c and like I said this time I'm really happy with the current limit (but have compassion for my mate Thorham )

Surely 15 smiles is enough for one post (which is the current setting)?

Not always. In my discussion with meynaf in the coders section, we often end up quoting most of each others posts, and because of this, it's quite common to go over 15 smilies, resulting in having to wade through a ton of quotes to remove the smilies.

Not a solution but here's a work-around... After multi-quoting, copy / paste all text into Notepad and then copy / paste back into the post

Surely the answer is don't use as many smilies, and then you don't have to delete them at all

Hehe, no it's just an image link
When you make a post look at the icons above the text window. There you find the 'Insert image' shortcut (point at the icons and wait for the tooltip ) Just paste the link to a picture you found somewhere and that's it
