Ide-fix '97

IDE-FIX '97

I was messing around yesterday with large HD support on a A1200.
Lots of messing around with scsi.device, fastfilesystem, setpatch loadmodule etc from os3.9

Maybe some of you already know but..
I just figured out there is a licensed copy of IDE-fix '97 on Amiga Forever CD.
Difference between demo and licensed version is only the removal of the nag-requester screens.
Silly me no more messing around with patches and stuff.

Just found this post.
I have Amiga Forever 2009 and my serial worked on Ide max 97.

Now can I use Ide fix and fastfile system to get large hard drive support on a wb3.1 machine?

Install IDEfix. Load s:startup-sequence into a text editor, read the comment in the beginning and act accordingly. Read the IDEfix documentation if the comment is not enough. Apply FFSTD64 (contained in the IDEfix archive). Use HDToolbox or similar to update FFS on the harddrive.

I think I already saw it in version 6 (the one before the first version 200x). Not sure about V5 or V4, though, but I could check.

AF6 is the first version which comes with IDEfix97. AF5 does not contain it.
