hi new to emulator need a little help
Hello,
I'm new to your website and new to amiga emulators. Well i have a few questions to ask and a lot of knowledge to cram in my little brain. Anyway i play a game called formular one masters i have two versions 1994 version and a 1996 version. The 1994 version can save games (i bet you know where this is going) but the 1996 version can't. I use winuae as i got the hang of it slightly. but i prefure to play the 1996 version as it has sum good memories. The 1996 version asks me to insert save game disk in drive 0 Any help would be very very very greatfull. i hope my spelling was not too poor thank you dean |

The game probably requires an empty disk to save games to. Try creating a new disk in WinUAE in the 'Floppy drives' section. This will create a new blank ADF disk which you should then be able to save to. If this doesn't work the disk might need renaming to 'savegame' or something like that. You can't rename the ADF file though, you would have to rename the disk using Workbench.
Maybe the game creates its own save disk format which you would need to format from within the game itself like Cannon Fodder and SWOS. In this case you will need to create a 'Custom Disk' which is also in the 'Floppy drives' section. Check inside the disk (using workbench) for any documents which explain how to create your save disk. Failing all that, up the disk to the zone area (top of this screen) and I'll have a look at it for ya. |

And just to pre-empt any "How do I access the Zone?" questions

Hello there and welcome to the EAB, i am sure you will like it here I would try what the others suggest, this will most likely solve your publem under WinUAE, if however you are not using WinUAE now might be a good time to let us know LOL.. anyway I do hope you enjoy yourself here, and moreso the retroness of amiga emulation |

To gain access to The Zone! you need to follow these instructions (as per Graham's post): How do I get access to the zone? Maybe it will be easier just to use the Save States option as then you don't need to mess around with creating / naming disks etc... Quote:
