New to Amiga Emulators, help please
Hi All,
I'm looking to relive some of the old days of my Amiga 500 (RIP) and thought an emulator might be the way to go rather than buying a replacement machine. Basically, what am I going to need to play, and save progress on the first game I want to retry; Strike Fleet, an awesome game from my past? I've downloaded the emulator WinUAE 2.3.2 but it is asking for updated ROM's and to be honest i'm a little lost. Would appreciate any help offered. TIA. |

Right, managed to get the game started and it seems to run stable
Now i'm looking at settings like the configuration, should I leave that on default or boost it up to 2MB or 4MB RAM? Will I see any benefit from changing settings like CPU setting, RAM Setting How do I create game saves etc? |

I think you should leave it, wrong type or too much memory can crash the game. Save state option is in miscellaneous.

One thing I would like, Is to be able to make a bootable CD/Memory stick so I can start WinUAE without having to go thru windows all the time. However, creating a bootable disk on the Amiga is easier than trying to do it on a pc. i would have thought that WinUAE would be able to run independently from windows. Any help here?

You can add WinUAE to Windows autostart. Or autorun.inf to memorystick: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autorun.inf You can not skip Windows to load WinUAE.
