Ripping X-It

I'm currently ripping or actually trying to rip X-It sprites, but I'm stuck. Cannot find the right palette or is there something else what I've missed.

Problem solved!

From where you are in the screen-grab...

(You're already in AM mode)

Reduce width to 1/5th (16 pixels)
Set bitplanes to 5.

---------

Cycle through palette-search modes using "Z".
Search within each palette search mode... using "L" to find the next palette.

---

If you have no luck at all with this, there are two things that are likely...

1) it's possible the bitmaps aren't aligned correctly... tap the right-arrow key twice as this will rotate the data.. to the next bitplane. - Then try palette-searching again. *

2) The last bitplane acts as a mask. - To get around this, press 3 for a 4-bitplane image (so the order become 76544210), press 4 for a 5-bitplane image (so the order become 76553210).

If you can't find the correct palette with "Z" and "L".
The above two tips should help you find it.

----

* = When you tap left or right arrow keys.. the offset shifts by 8 bits (typically the same number of pixels) - The reason you're tapping it twice is because your image width is 16 pixels.

The more memory you have emulated, the more the savestate will take.

I'm starting to learn =) Has anyone a clue does the "X-it" game load more graphics later in the game?
Because I couldn't find all tilesets from USS file?

It's probable.

With many games, I don't get the tilesets for levels and/or sprites/bobs until I'm up to that stage of the game.

Well, eh Problem not solved. I can't figure out what's the problem. I even downloaded and installed latest version of WinUAE. But still nothing. I get "Psygnosis" logo and "X-it" title logo, but then WinAUE stops loading, well the counter on the bottom right corner goes up to "74" and stops then.. Nothing happens even I wait for 5 minutes or so... frustrating

Yippee! Got working. I tried different configurations. With A500/A2000 it didn't work, but High-End conf. works! And here's more tiles

What tools do you use to rip tiles?
