Fitting Kickstart 3.1 ROM to Amiga 500
Hello,
I need to fit kickstart 3.1 to an amiga 500.How do I do this.Do I need an IC extractor to remove the 1.3rom? and what should I look out for when I fit it.Thanks for any help.

all you need is a small flat blade screwdriver and gently pry it from one side to the other untill its out then put the 3.1 rom in its place(an a500 3.1 rom is one ic)just remember the oriantation of the rom. thats it not axactly complicated.

Depends on your mobo version, rev 6A and up no changes to the mobo.

check your motherboard revision, with mine I had to run a wire between 2 pins, have a read here;

will a 500+ have a motherboard greater than rev6?
