winuae kickstart roms
can anyone tell me why WinUAE wont work properly anymore.
My kickstart roms seem to be named .PAT or .RTB instead of rom. it used to work before i upgraded to AF9. I have them in a seperate folder and all the roms have gone. Pissing me right off now. |

.pat and .rtb files contain meta data for skick, they are not ROMs.
Check C:\Users\Public\Amiga Files\shared\Roms That's where AF usually installs its ROMs. WinUAE should detect them there automatically. Just rescan ROMs. |

Try:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Amiga Files instead if you can't find them with thomas' path. This is where AF installed for me. |

The ROMs used to be where I put them and winuae was set up to use them. Then after a fee months of not using winuae, a few windows updates and an update to winuae the ROMs got deleted and are NOWHERE on my PC. I've had to reinstall them from the DVD. But all the other ROM files are in that folder. Weird.
