I had that error on a few games and managed to fix them by editting the database file in the A500 game-data folder. I sussed out that the mini was trying to load Turrican 2 version 1.7 when the latest version is 2.2-B. I changed the name of the file it was searching for and it fixed it. I had to do the same for Tesdrive 2 and Syndicate also. Last edited by Superman; 08 April 2022 at 21:55. |

I've been told there are many non working games from retroplays whdload set, but if you download thise non working games from https://www.whdownload.com/ they seem to work..
Retroplays set... ... Lionheart_v2.3_0845 not working ... FullContact_v1.7_2246 not working ... Barbarian_v1.1_Palace_1784 not working https://www.whdownload.com/ ... Lionheart_v2.3_0845 Working ... FullContact_v1.7_2246 Working ... Barbarian_v1.1_Palace_1784 Not working Very strange? Last edited by ransom1122; 08 April 2022 at 22:42. |

Yeah its because the database is out of date but that link Amigajay posted has an updated file which should work with the newer slaves.

Both retroplay and whdload.com are on v1.7 so where do they source v2.2B? Also doesnt Amiberry launch any whdload game as it should? Or is it restricted to its own database filenames? |

What? That's the cdtv version? Doesn't mini support normal version of t2?

F17 included in the database?
So out of the box, it is not supporting whdload games like they say? You need an unofficial database update to make things work? |

Once a slave has been updated and it has a different version number then no the newer version wont work unless the database file is updated to match.

Not at all, just find the correct slave for the older database and it will work. Things are moving all the time, in the future newer slaves won’t work on the latest whdload, doesn’t make them dishonest.

An end user will not know how to retrieve information from the dB to show which version it supports, and there is no info about that at all.
Box says compatible with whdload games, whereas really it's compatible with what's in their database, simple as that. |

If someone post a photo of the board in decent resolution the RAM available for the emulation host should be possible to determine by reading the datasheet for the circuit(s). |

I can’t see it stating it may or may not be compatible with certain versions of certain whdload slaves no… you are nit picking

for the pedant(s) out there (and this is one of the reasons we don't have Amigas any more) - remember this is v1.0 release - I'm sure the next firmware update will have the updated AmiBerry/whdload database (which was only updated on github a few days ago) and the newer whdload 18.7.
Maybe we'll even have front end support added for HDF and ADF support, instead of using save state 'hacks' like this: Hi, I've found a solution how to use your own hardfile (with Workbench) with your A500. This works with a savestate file. These are the steps I followed: * Format a USB stick and place the A500 folder from the WHDLoad Package in the root as normal. * Put one WHDload game/demo on your USB stick. * Put your hardfile (created in WinUAE) on your USB stick. * Put the USB stick in your A500 and run the game. * Press Home on your controller when the game runs and press down on the d-pad. * Press A to make a savestate file. * Put the USB stick in your PC and open the folder .a500states and the next folder (something like 9c81e6eb). * Delete the slot-0.msz file. * Open the slot-0.uae file in notepad and go to *** Hard Drives. * Change this info to : hardfile2=rw,DH0:/mnt/INSERT NAME OF YOUR HARDFILE.HDF,32,1,2,512,0,,uae0 uaehf0=hdf,rw,DH0:"/mnt/INSERT NAME OF YOUR HARDFILE.HDF",32,1,2,512,0,,uae0 scsi=true * You can also check under *** Chipset if the chipset is set to AGA (chipset=aga). * Save the file, and put the USB stick in your A500. * Select the game again and press Home on your controller and down on the d-pad. * Select the savepoint and the HDF file will load! (and had read/write options!). Advance mode: If you want to make a folder on your USB stick visible in the HDF file, add the following info under *** Hard Drives: filesystem2=rw,DH1:Games:/mnt/NAME OF THE FOLDER ON USB,-128 uaehf1=dir,rw,DH1:Games:/mnt/NAME OF THE FOLDER ON USB,-128 You can change the Games: in the name you want to call the harddrive. |
