Gotek Drives and IPF files
I've recently got back into hardware by refurbishing an A600 and fitting a Gotek.
I'm having problems with IPF files that I've converted to HFE. The (ipf) files work fine in WinUAE but the Gotek struggles to load 80% of the converted files. I've spent a few hours reading up on this but I'm still a bit lost. Does Flashfloppy not support all the required copy protection methods? normal. The format to use is HFE v3. regular HFE format is not made for copy protected titles.

ummm I tried the BATCH converter to convert 3000+ IPFs to HFE v3 (which it says is experimental). It converted 33 and then stopped. Dont want to do them in 30 batches. How are people getting it to work?

Have you tried using Keir Fraser's disk-analyse tool? https://github.com/keirf/Disk-Utilities |

err No and I confess I struggle to find a downloadable EXE for Windows there? (Sorry, some Github's JUST have code and some have packages, and it confuses my tiny brain!)

I run disk-analyse in a WSL environment within Windows 10 - there is a good build guide for this setup that can be found at: https://github.com/keirf/Disk-Utilit...ysOnWindows.md I have some of my own notes on such a setup, so if you need help with that then give me a shout. |

Thanks, I DO appreciate the effort but I am not doing WSL or building it.. CBA, I'll just find other games to play. Was just taking Gamebase Amiga's curated game list and putting all files onto a USB for Gotek. I did consider if others might want similar
