Heretic on A1200

I tried to run heretic on my A1200 but i get following error: "heretic.exe Program failed (error #8000000B). Wait for disk activity to finish."

What went wrong? ADoom works just fine.

What CPU do you have?
How much RAM do you have?
Which port of Heretic are you using? v0.1? v1.1?
What patches are you running? BlazeWCP?

adoom is playlable on a 030/50 but heretic ports are slow even on a 040/060
there's a port of hexen also but slower than heretic

don't be amazed if heretic ports doesn't work on your computer because are bad ports and were not made by the genius Peter McGavin

@Picard

if memory serves, the Heretic Engine on the PC requires more memory and a larger stack than DOOM / DOOM2

However it uses the same engine, just has larger maps, Hexen on the other hand has light sourcing / stenciling and requires a serious bit of cpu power, i seriously doubt an 040 would cope an 060 would struggle a little too.

In the Icon Information of Heretic there is a field where you can enter the stack value. Try something about 100000.

If you are running the game from CLI before running the game type stack 100000
