Mostly a Google translation. I'm too lazy for a proper translation. |

I was honestly a bit shocked when I saw the 73% for Rygar in the magazine.
Should have at least been above 80 imho. It's easily among one of the Amiga's top 3 releases this year. |

...but you know why regarding the scores / ranking, I already mentioned in the reason in post #71 I'm positive if we were to run a poll here on EAB then the situation between the 2 games would be reversed. |

Indeed... next year will be even better... lots of games in the works.
Tiny Little Slug... this game I just realised that their author "slamy" was the guy who got the hi-score on Rygar and won the boxed edition. That game looks superb. Hyperborea... also looks excellent. I best raise my game. |

Yes, Rygar is a very good (if not a perfect port). But the game itself in 2019? I can be very repetitive at times and isn't aged well, compared to other Arcade games. Come on, 73% isn't that bad. Personally i would rate it probably between 75-80, mabye 78% or something.

I suppose it depends if one likes the original arcade or not. As a conversion, it's near perfect, so more than 90% for sure in that aspect. As a game, with all the aspects factored in, it'd still be near 90% for me personally, especially with all those extras mcgeezer has put in!

Well 90% would be insane. This is something we'd expect from UK mags in the 80s. Well if this specific Rygar port would have been a commercial release in, let's say 1992/93 for AGA, it would've probably got something between 80-85% here in Germany.

It's a good start but there are more than what you've listed above; off the top of my head:
