I think the "sequel" was a PD tribute, but I could be wrong. Either way, it is probably a scam.

Yeah, I got this in an auction a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I can't read the CD now.
As far I remember, the scam went something like this: 1. Call your 'company' something like "Alive". 2. Forget about licencing laws. 3. Get JST versions of Great Giana Sisters and Hard 'n' Heavy. 4. Download another platform game from the Aminet (it could have been Crazy Sue). 5. Burn them to a CD-R and make a cheap CD front with a CD printer. 6. Advertise it using words such as "Unreleased" and "A1200 fixed" for £9.99. |

Remember it...
Yes, I remember an advert for this CD in the last issue ever of Amiga Format (May 2000). I always thought it was a PD-CD featuring zillions self-made Giana Sisters-levels.

Reply from Steve
I asked the guy about the item and here is his reply:
I bought it from an Amiga Shop for £15, i was curious too but when i asked them they said it was a re-release by a company called alive-mediasoft. Great game tho. I think there was a game made before giana and a sequel. There are 3 games on the disk. Thanks Steve |

The third game is one of the Crazy Sue games. How they figure that to be part of a Giana Sisters trilogy is anybody's guess.

I've got the CD working on my new CD burner and it contains cracks of Great Giana Sisters as well some hard disk installed versions.
The readme says: "Licenced to Alive MediaSoft from the Author in 1999" It also says: "CrazySue 1 & 2 have been included free of charge." How nice of them! |

I am positive Julian at F5 would find the idea of licensing their games to AM quite amusing

Was there many of these cds made then? or are they collectors items in their own right?
Maybe someone could upload the iso to the zone (it would be very small) along with a scan of the cd and then we could all make our own! |

Just maybe Cody, Fiath and I were not clear enough:
this is pirated material sold for money, moreover it was sold by a "company" infamous for their scams. |

Yes I knew that There was a big thread about it a long time ago - but as most of us seem to be into getting and cataloging every pirate release ever done (except CAPS people of course) I thought it would make a nice addition to the collection just so we can say we got it. Sad I know. |
