Hello from USA.

I just joined yesterday and have not had time to explore the forums yet.
I have been into computers since 1986 my first was a c64. I worked in electronics repair for 10 years now i work for the railroad.

Thank you, What is the best emulator or fpga setup for getting back into the Amiga.

WinUAE is an awesome emulator.
I haven't done any FPGA based systems so not familiar there.
I've been meaning to poke at Amibian for the Raspberry Pi, but haven't gotten around to it yet..
Of course, there is always real original hardware too... ;-)

I can suggest you to use WinUAE for emulation

http://www.winuae.net/download/

I use it since 2002 .... enjoy it !!!!

So with winuae what other files do i need and what is the best way to get them? I.E roms kickstart etc...

You only need roms kickstart for the system you have intention to emulate

Just for example, for Amiga 500 you need the Kickstart 1.3

These rom files are not included with WinUAE, since there is the copyright on them

And i can't give you those since it's against the rules of the forum

So, you will not find them on the eab file server

Just search in Internet, it's not that difficult to find these small files

I understand, I read that in the rules so i was not thinking of asking for the files, Only what files i need and thanks for the info.
