Default Window View in WB 3/3.1

Is it possible to set all windows in WB 3/3.1 to a given view rather than having to change the view, then snapshot on every window? I prefer the "View by name" view and am finding it rather a chore to set this in every window I open!

I have had a good look through Prefs and Tools etc but cannot find this option. Is there a 3rd party app in Aminet that can do this is WB can't?

Have you tried Opus Magellan? Yours is one of the reasons why it's much better.

Hi manic23!

In your Workbench setup should have a drawer named DH0:Prefs/ENV-Archive/SYS/def_drawer together with a standard icon for it. Workbench gets the window dimensions and position for drawers from this icon.

You need to go to that drawer, open it, resize its window and finally snapshot it. From now on, every drawer without a icon will get the size of the default icon you created there...
