Error msg: Please insert scalos in any drive
Hi All,
I am trying to copy the classic WB from Winuae to my 1200 4gig HD. I prepared the HD in the Amiga, formatted it, 2 partitions, DH0: (bootable) and DH1:. I connected the HD to my PC, opened up winuae (in Win XP) added the HD successfully and then copied all the system files to the HD using opus. All files appear to copy successfully. I reconnect the HD to the Amiga. the workbench starts to boot, i get the error message "Please insert volume scalos in any drive" when i click cancel it continues to load to workbench and i do lose some of the functionality Anyone any ideas whats wrong? THanks Kipper |

What's the volume name of your DH0 partition ? And what is the volume name of WinUAE's boot partition ? Probably the latter is Scalos, so you should name the former Scalos, too.
Another cause could be that you didn't copy everything properly. Probably user-startup is missing which contains something like assign Scalos: <any directory on your hdd>. |
