Music wise, just use the FM Towns version arranged by D.C. Productions Ltd. aka Chris Howlett and Ian Henderson? It was later re-used for PC-Engine version.

The music is CDDA on the game disc.

I would, alexh, if were more like the original. I really am after 'original music but modern day quality'.

Also, I have no way of even listening to a section of the immortal CD, so I cannot make a decision there.

I imagine you might need to do him a favour in return (like update the Lionheart gfx for him?)
While not finished a remake was underway.

The immortal music by Ruben Monteiro are slightly more like the original than the DC productions versions for FM Towns but not by much.

Compare these two:

If the first one sounds very good. Shame I do not have it or know how to ask permission to use it. Anyway, for now, I'm going to leave the music alone, and focus on the visual aspect.

Ahem, this is kind of embarrasing but I also started a remake several years ago (as you can see from the links in my signature...). In favour for a Turrican remake I had to pause that project, though. And no, it's far from finished... I already modified Dungeon Siege's engine in a way that the camera was side-scrolling and you could control Aarbron in a proper 2D way. Still, all the hacking and then I realised that 3D modelling is the actual problem. So while this 3D project might still take some more years (as stated on the page, ahem...) - I'd really love to finally see a nice new interpretation of the Beast - this series so deserves it And I have to say that I would also go for the FM-Towns version or the arranged versions of the Immortal project if you do not want to record something new

Shadow of the beast Remake

Hi,
My most sincere congratulations to the fabulous job with these graphics, to which system are you thinking doing the remake for PC?, MAC? or Amiga?.

I will continue to monitor its evolution.

Thanks and best regards.

I'm sorry to say that other things have gotten in the way of this project. I'm annoyed that it is happening when the project is so young, but I cannot help that.

I'll pick it back up in the future, of course, I want this as much as any of you.

Top work all, and welcome to eab Daxx - cracking first post!
(Luebeck? Lovely city... Many fond memories, mostly slightly vague as I did an exchange there when I was back at school and had just discovered alcohol...)

@Sonica: Interesting project, gfx look good, but it'll be tough to compete with the charm of the original

@daxx: Welcome! I've been very fond of your remixes for a few years now

Jesuz, Daxx - is there anything you can't do? Long time fan of your music btw - you and Gibs are pretty much the amiga remix dudes.
