Action Replay 1.0

I have dumped the Action Replay 1.0 and uploaded it to the zone.

There is a problem with WinUAE and both AR MKI ROMs. If "Cycle-exact CPU and Blitter" is enabled, it shows the AR logo, after that a yellow screen and then resets and then all again...

Have you set the correct memory requirements?

Action replay typically will only work on:

512k chip only
512k chip upto 1meg fake fast

Yep, checked with different QS settings. It just doesn't work with CE enabled. Not that I'm overly interested (MKI isn't good), but v1.0 wasn't included in WinUAE's ROM scanning nor in TOSEC, so I dumped it and found this problem that happens with both 1.0 and 1.5.

AR 1 support is quite unstable even without cycle-exact. Will be fixed someday...

AR4? AFAIK there is no AR4, only some software-only hacks.

@Toni: Thanks for answering

Regarding AR4: It seems that AR-PRO is the successor of the AR4 and maybe a hardware version exists for that additionally to the software (or maybe the hardware does only have the freeze button, slow-mo or something )

Yeah, my guess is it just bangs on the IPL lines to get an NMI...

But if the software is different that would be interesting - don't suppose anyone has ever seen this vapourware?

But it seems to be quite expensive for just having a freeze button

Maybe someone could try to contact Michael Pendec or Nicholas Clarke about the hardware.

The Paradox versions are resourced AR3 ROM image with some modifications. There was no hardware released with them.

If I am not mistaken, there was an Datel ActionReplay IV released for the A1200. But I think it used the same slot that you use for your accelerator, so you could only use it on an unexpanded A1200 (correct me if I am wrong).
