Wazp3d performance on classic (accelerated) Amiga?

I’m a bit dismayed at the cost of a voodoo 3 these days Plus these things run so darn hot my last one, even though I had some cooling, died on me. The ones I can find on eBay are like $500-$1000, which is totally insane.

I can’t justify this spend for warp3d. But I’m curious, how’s Wazp3d performance on a PPC accelerated Amiga? Is it comparable? Or should I just save up for another Voodoo 3 card? :/

Curious if anyone’s had experience with this. Thanks friends.

Apparently a R200 (Radeon) Warp3D driver could appear soon (you can see a video about it in the Sonnet PPC thread). Might be worth to start looking into a Radeon 9250.

I might also replace my Voodoo 3 with the Radeon 9250, if the driver actually comes out.

I have added a fan in my A4000 just to cool the PCI side of things because of the V3, but I am still not comfortable with how hot that thing runs.
