How to install devpac

I haven't used an Amiga for like 15 years and Im trying to install devpac in workbench 3.1 but when I drag the devpac icon to the desktop it still runs it from the floppy. How do I install it to the hd?
How do I see how much space I got left on the hd?

I'm no Workbench expert so maybe one of the guys on here who are will have a better idea but I just used the CLI to copy the files off of my Devpac floppy to a Devpac folder on my harddrive.

Worked for me...

When you drag files to the desktop, they're not copied there, just their icons are on the desktop. To copy the files, just drag the devpac directory to an HD partition, or folder on the HD, and you should be done.

Hello all,

I have an A1200 and just installed DevPac3 for the first time.

I got hold of the missing Includes as given in the Thread:

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43262

However, and this might seem very noobish but...

I am trying to configure DevPac to find all the Includes, Libs, etc. but have not managed to work out how to achieve this.

I want to build helloworld.s.

For Assembler-Control Menu:

What should I set the following to?

Include

Headers

I have installed DevPac to the following:

System:Development/Devpac v3.18

I have copied the Includes to here:

System:Development/Devpac v3.18/Include3.1

I would really appreciate any assistance and advice that you Blokes could give as I have finally gotten around to playing with my A1200 again

Hello there,

Thanks, I had to use the system.i file and I could only build Projects within the "Examples" Directory. I shall have to spend some more time with it.

The system.i File contains many Includes for Intuition, Graphics, Exec, etc. Apart from that I was up and running with DevPac. It is a pretty nice Assembler.

Thanks for the assistance.
