IndivisionAGA Mk2cr

Hi,

I've just got myself and IndyAGA for my 1200 and all works very well apart from one small issue. When I first boot (from cold) I have line artifacts on my screen depending on where I move windows to and the mouse pointer. This only happens on a cold boot and as soon as I switch to another resolution it fixes itself (and when I switch back it's fine). Any ideas?

The exact same thing was happening to me.
I removed the resistor E127R on the reverse of the motherboard and shorted the terminals with a solder. The problem disappeared.
My mobo is 1D4

so this is a known issue? Why does the resistor need removing exactly?

It is apparently a known fix for some motherboards, not a clue why it needs removing.
Someone else may be able to explain....

It worked for my 1D4 motherboard, but same fix never worked on my other 1D1 mobo.

If you have a 1D4, it's worth trying. I'm very glad I did

Just an update to this so the thread has some sort of clousure...

The problem will fix itself when I change resolutions and then back again OR it seems after some 5 - 10 mins. Seems it needs to be warmed up. This is backed up by the fact that if I turn off the PSU and then turn it back on again the problem does not appear again.

It's not a big enough problem for me to worry about. I guess it's just a bug with Rev 1D1. I'll live with it.

I've got 3 1D1 and no problem. Have you got old caps?

They have not been recapped. Fitting my Indy was the first time I have had the RF off but after looking at the caps they don't look like they are knackered (ie the tops are not bulging out). Could be them though.
