Question Requesting: Brataccas

Just seen this in an old Amiga Format. They say that Psygnosis produced the game and that it's the first ever Amiga game! I always thought the first Amiga game was Defender of the Crown. Does anyone have this?

I upped the bugger to The Zone, it's a little difficult to control that space brat-at least with the keyboard.

Stick out tongue Thanks

Well if it's 1990 then it can't be the first ever Amiga game. They must have meant it's the first Amiga game Psygnosis produced for the Amiga. Cheers CRSV!

According to GAGE's details on Brataccas, it was copyright 1985-87.

Not sure who is correct, though.

I'm pretty sure it was 1985, I believe the first one I say was a dual format disk, it worked on both the Atari ST and Amiga.

Also I think the actual first game was Mindwalker published under the CBM-Amiga name and developed by Synapse? I seem to recall this from when the A1000 hit the market and from the local Amiga Users Group meetings.

Yeah, this game was way before 1990 because I believe I bought a copy with my Amiga 1000 in 1986. What a strange little clunky game it was!

I always found this game to be an abomination...a terrible port from the ST. Anybody know if the ST version was as bad as this?

I was told it was just as bad on the ST, basically Psygnosis' first attempt. Some things get better with age, so did the coders for Psygnosis. Ah the power of

Yeah, but look at the rubbish they ended up dumping on an unsuspecting Amiga public just before they bailed on supporting it. It made me glad to see them go...

Yes, that was the start of a long miserable departure from the Amiga for Psygnosis. But the final nails in the coffin were much worse: Cliffhanger was dreadful, Dracula was seriously flawed, The Last Action Hero was lacklustre...that whole miserable license period. Superhero would have probably sucked, too, had it been completed.

Don't get too violent, s4murai...

Twist, are your opinions on those three move licences through personal play, or did you read the AP reviews?

But hold on, what about All New World Of Lemmings (AKA Lemmings 3)? How was that accepted? And was it the last Amiga Psygnosis game to be released?

Psygnosis released All New World Of Lemmings AGA, Flink CD32 AGA and X-It in 1995. I think those were the last games they released on the Amiga.

Be serious! Show me any good review for those games anywhere. And I never use anything but my own personal opinions. You may have even noticed a passing, vague hint of me being opinionated in the past...

Your comment here was completely useless. Even with the "" attached.
