Saving with Shift-End-Num / Naming
Hey EAB,
i love the feature to create savestates with the above mentioned shortcut instead of going into the menu via F12. But i don´t understand how the naming works. I loaded a config (SlamTilt.uae) and later found savestates which were called Slamtilt, so i assumed that those slots are depending on the config and automatically named. Also found some called "Default" and "PinballDreams". Next time i played another game (Trapsntreasures.uae) and saved, expecting it to create new savestates, it overwrote all my SlamTilt states, simply using that one. Another time the states were default again (no Trapsntreasures yet). How can i change the name of the save slots i use per game? And wouldn´t it be nice if they were called like the recent config automatically? Maybe i did something wrong or it´s not working here for some reason but working for everybody else? WinUAE version 5.1.0 Thank you very much for any insight! Cheers, drym |

It is the "statefile" config key. Can also be done with commandline "-cfgparam statefile=x", but it only works if the file already exists. Or at least did the last time I tried.

I don't anymore remember what was the original reason for statefile name when using shortcut keys but next version will use config file as base name for statefile when using short cut keys (unless it was overwritten by statefile config entry). Quickstart still uses "default.uss".
