Looking for a platform adventure game?

1st off, hello board.

I've spent ages trying to track down a game.

Now it all goes wrong, i'm afraid
I can barely remeber anything about it other than i completed it then when I went to play it again later my disks were knackered. I pined for ages.

I'm pretty sure it had a one word title (an old arcade game 'Dogsoken' keeps getting in the way everytime I try to remeber it >:l )

It was a platform adventure game
Your could select different characters to play the adventure, 1 of which was an explorer type in a pith helmet...

the objective of the game was to save the world from an asteroid by building a super machine, which turns out to be a giant pinball flipper

at the begining of the game you had to find some silver ( which of course was in the clouds as every cloud has a silver lining)

i think it was time limited, and you could construct the machine incorrectly (maybe)

any help would be amazing as i have trawled sooooo many sit looking through list after list.
