A few questions regarding ClassicWB UAE v27

First of all, I think this is a great bundle of WB tools´n´stuff to use and very well made.
I want to use this, until I can get a cheap copy of OS3.9 from ebay and install this parallel, to see which one suits me better, before i install something on a real Amiga.

I like to mod some things to my taste (if possible)? :
  • I want a “Dock” like in OS 3.9, easy to setup and good looking… is there any?
  • I got another icon-set (Cat_i_png Icons), how can i replace the Classic WB iconset (not one by one) with this?
  • I can´t find a “Shutdown” button on Workbench (ok, when running in UAE, there is no need to have one, but anyway…?)
greetings
ELO

If, by “Shutdown”, you mean quit UAE from the emulated Amiga, then have a look at EAB member Thomas Rapp's uaequit, available from his downloads page.

You can get replacement dock programs on Aminet so do a search - they are not as easy to use and setup as AmiDock, requiring a little more work, however it is possible. I prefer using Buttonmenu, which can be customized via settings, as it launches programs without taking up too much ram but I know dock utils look prettier.

You can get many icon sets, but not many come with an installer so indeed it means updating one by one. It's a long task, I know as I've done it for all of the different packs.

Workbench doesn't require a shut down, Amiga's are just turned off via a switch or reset.

Thanks for giving the packs a try anyway and the kind comment.

I love ToolManager for a Dock under 3.1
I liked it so much, that I decided to replace AmiDock with it on my custom CWB3.9 installation just because it's nicer with MWB colors and small icons.

You can check out a thorough guide that I wrote some time ago and see if you like it or not...
