Amiga Games on Network?
I`ve wondered this for a while now, are any Amiga games playable over a null-modem serial cable?
I heard DMA games were planning to make Lemmings work over a Null Modem cable for their 2 player mode, but instead used 2 mice. I wondered if any other developers actually went ahead and did it so 2 Amiga`s could play together, like the LAN`s of the modern world. |

Ok thanks for that link, not a bad amount really, 88 games. I`ll have to persuade my cousin to buy an amiga lol.
Although i have to say, it looks like some of those games are more for AmigaOS4 or so? Especially Quake 1/2 and OTTD. |

Quake 1/2 is also available for OS3 but maybe needs PPC card (for Q2).

You can try it with a 060 I guess, but also HOL says it's a PPC/RTG game.

OTTD = Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe, its an open source clone of transport tycoon, which was released in about 2000 and is still being worked on to this date.
Mainly OTTD does add multiplayer features, the original TT had 2 player modem/serial/IPX/TCP play on the PC, however OTTD only supports 255 player TCP play nowadays. Any serial network games that work on like A600`s running 2.05 then? |

There's enough null-modem Amiga games that I had to get another Amiga, and rig a serial switch! :-D My biggest gripe is lack of network games. (I haven't gotten doom attack or adoom to work with win/linux versions yet, for example) Though telser.device might be able to force the issue. Thinking of getting my 2nd amiga set up to route null-modem connections to a tcp connection for WHDload stuff (that unfortunately doesn't work with higher-end OS stuff like TCP stacks, would be a serious technical challenge to implement that, though). Only problem: the second Amiga 1200 I got is in such pristine condition, I haven't had the guts to approach her with a screwdriver for the upgrades she needs. lol.

Stunt Car Racer over a nullmodem cable is one of the most fun experiences you can have with two Amigas and a friend.
