EAB/Lemon Super League 2008: Round 11 - Banshee
EAB/Lemon Super League 2008: Round 11 - Banshee
Rules: - The round starts now (Sunday, October 26) and will end at 11:59pm UK time on Saturday, November 15. - Score as many points as possible. - Post screenshots of your score in this thread, and write your score underneath. You can enter as many times as you like within the round's time frame. - No cheating of any kind (including score leeching) - this includes save states. If you suspect a contestant of cheating then don't post it in public (anyone who does so will have their posts edited or deleted) - please PM either me or Biscuit and we will investigate it. If we find anyone guilty of cheating then they will be banned for the entire season. - Please only post your score on either the EAB or Lemon forums. If you have already played this year you have to post your score on the same forum for the whole season. If you are new, the one you post on first will be your "team" for the whole season. However you are welcome to discuss the compo, game etc. on the other forum if you wish. - Play the game on 'Normal' difficulty. For the full rules and FAQ, click here. To see how the Lemon guys are doing, click here. To check the current league table and previous rounds' results click here. Download Links: Disk 1, Disk 2, Disk 3, Disk 4, WHDLoad-installed. ADFs from the usual sources have proved to not be fully playable versions. So two of our regulars have made files for any players that can't use WHDload or ipf images. On page 3 Horace has posted info on adfs he has created. Also, mihcael has made a HDF file which you can download here. Have fun and remember if you have any questions then feel free to ask. Anyone can join at any time. Final Scores: (EAB members in blue, Lemon members in red) 1. TodaysForgotten - 188,109 2. DamienD - 186,887 3. mailman - 172,595 4. peace - 167,419 5. john4p - 163,146 6. CHook/OTT - 136,366 7. blade002 - 127,831 8. Biscuit - 115,859 9. TheCyberDruid - 98,262 10. mihcael - 58,046 11. Reo77 - 37,661 12. humble worm - 33,233 13. adolescent - 29,527 14. Oh well.. sigh.. Ive got an exam coming up ( 2 of them to be exact ), working full time..etc.. so i just did not have time to get my Amiga up and running. All i can do is pray that i have time to get it going for Banshee and Battle Squadron, but X-Out was the one that i had been dreaming about competing in for quite some time.
But these next 2 shooters in the compo are some of the best on the Amiga, so there is still a big enough incentive. Special mention to TCD and John4p for the encouragement to get my Ami up and running to compete in X-Out. Even though i could not play it was nice to know i wasn't forgotten |

Woah, I didn't remember it that hard and the level to be so long Took me some tries to get past the first level boss
32.093 Maybe we should say which skill level to play. I choose 'Normal' which seemed to be the intended way Edit : I missed you last round blade Hope you find the time to play at least this round and next year we'll have another X-Out campaign... |

Yes - 'Normal' sounds about right.
Oh and you won't be having another X-Out campaign |

That's exactly it, I think we'll be fine for games for quite a few years to come yet though, maybe a couple of decades down the line we'll consider resetting it

I attached 3 shots. The first one is my high score table before I played today. The second one is a score after losing all planes and the third one is updated high score table with my new entry. Last edited by mailman; 18 June 2009 at 19:21. |

When you collect a bomb-symbol one of three lights is lit here on the left side:
<SPACE> and 2nd firebutton activate the "loops". But how do you use the bombs? |

Have you tried holding fire down without autofire!
Don't know if it works, but it might |

hmmm the only bomb I recall is weapon which one uses "just like that" pressing fire (your plane just drops one bomb per some period of time )
there is also an item which destroys all on screen (skull?), but as far as i remember it explodes on touch how does the symbol look like? maybe tou mean something I call "fill item" - a thingie that you need only (i think) not to lose your weapon upgrade when killed? |

@bippy: Yup, tried that, too. Didn't work, either.

Is that the item that prevents your weapon from being downgraded? |
