Any games that get you in a Christmas mood?
Greetings all,
With Christmas around the corner I was curious if any of you have any games they like to play around this time of year to help them get in a Christmas mood, games with either a Christmas theme or games that stir up old memories from Christmases of their childhoods. Myself I always try to have a few sessions of Holiday Lemmings '93. The remixed Christmas songs along with the Christmas themed level and relaxing pace (The frost difficulty at least, the blizzard levels are hard as nails) take me back to when I was younger spending time on my Amiga during the school holidays. So what about you guys? Anyone else has such games? |

Fire & Ice, be it the main game or the Xmas demo. Nice festive platformer. That and attempting the Cannon Fodder Christmas demo.
And in the last few years the CD32 X-Mas compilation is a good go-to. |

It's usually individual levels that do it for me. The Christmas level in Banjo Kazooiie for example. Throw a lot of colored lights and snowy trees at me and I'm basically there.
Jazz Jack Rabbit also had two Christmas themed demos that I like to revisit from time to time if only to listen to the tunes. |

Play Santa's Xmas Caper for five minutes and you'll be trying to get that tune out of your head for the rest of your life! It's Deck the Halls, but off-key and messed with. I love it.

My old favorite is Plum Duff on the ZX Spectrum. Santa got drunk and delivered presents to the wrong houses. You have to go back and fix it.
It's actually quite fun. Just noticed Lyndon Brooke, the artist, now works for Team 17. |

LOL. I'm going to have to check that out. The first few lines of the box blurb reads...
"One day in the year you had to have one over the eight. Santa Claus is tipsy and all the presents have been wrongly delivered." I had to scan over that first sentence a few times before it sunk in. Eight drinks is Santa's limit? After that he's sloshed and incompetent? |
