Amiga 1200 WHDLoad Game test on real hardware
Hi,
Anyone with a real A1200 and using WHDLoad can you please test these two games and see if they work? ... RainbowIslands_v1.4.1_0012.lha ... FireAndIce_v3.3_0502.lha When tested on a MiSTer FPGA board with Minimig core it gives an "illegal instruction" ($10) at $62064 error for Fire & Ice & "illegal instruction" ($10) at $7D786 error for Rainbow Islands Need verification it works on a real A1200 AGA 60820 Thanks in advance... |

I’ve only tested Rainbow Islands to the title screen but it worked to that far - if you’d started the game or was half way through when that happened then sorry, can’t confirm that much.

It crashes just after the title screen with Rainbow Islands, also if it works can you tell me what type of 1200 setup you have ?

These games don't work on minimig core with 68020 configuration.
Try to load adf version in 68000 A500 1.3 configuration. |

or try whdload with 68000 and kick3.1 for A600. That's a valid configuration for whdload, I test it all the time.
I can't say for the mister, but I developped the slave for Fire & Ice and it worked on a 68040 (emulated). Probably there's an issue with the mister. Also you can test the CD32 whdload version of fire & ice on mister 020 (if it supports AGA, not sure of that) Last edited by jotd; 09 September 2020 at 09:17. |

Just tested on mister both slaves do work on 68000 kick31 A600.. It's the 68020 AGA In question? Last edited by ransom1122; 09 September 2020 at 09:11. |

humm one version (V1.05) crashes on 68020 winuae config, but working on 68040 (WTF!)... V1.00 works on 68020... probably a slave bug.
Enabling hrtmon on v1.05 allows the game to run... now that's interesting. |

problem found & fixed, thanks for "reporting". A wrong patch offset trashed the level 6 interrupt. For some reason, it didn't show on 68040...

68020 CPU simulation of the Minimig Core is still not accurate.
Many Graftgold games didn't work under WHDLoad. |
