I ripped from Fighting spirit ,some graphics like backgrounds or titles/fonts with gfx rippers and characters with screenshots cause it was just easier, sprites are chopped up if you rip with gfx ripper, sometimes its just better to rip with screenshots and remove all colours but sprites, sometimes its very easy if you pick the right background( green bg if characer is red and blue/pink).
Sprites with bigger characters arent stored nicely, IMO only platformers with smaller sprites are stored in some logical order where you can snatch them all with one click.
With fighting games, yes you found one sprite its punch, but thats just one frame , you have to figure out which frame it is and how many youre missing... thats just waste of time.
Check my previous posts.

Yes I'm interested in the sprites all cut up from memory dumps - Do you have them?
So that's good to know that Fighting Spirit's sprites are stored in this way what about the other games?

I think the developer uploaded all the scorpion sprites to eab.abime.net. I can't remember if it was for MK1 or MKII.

Mortal Kombat sprites are made of 16x16 tiles same as final fight.

Fighting Spirit is game in EHB mode (64 colors).

Are you talking about Arcade versions or Amiga.

I think Mortal Kombat on Amiga uses Full Size Player Sprites but with some type of real time compression.

If you have any example of Arcade Player Sprites stored in tiles please upload, I think neo-geo stored Player Sprites as 16*16 tiles.

Amiga version. Mortal Kombat arcade machine use a non amiga compatible resolution. Probe had to use a custom tool to convert the sprites from the arcade in a resolution and size amiga & PC compatible.
