Soul Crystal on A1200 Kick/WB 3.1

Hi,

I've got an Amiga 1200 with KS 3.1 and Workbench 3.1. Work well for my Games, but one.
It's called Soul Crystal. This game has an HD Installer by default, and it works well on Workbench 3.1. Can start it after installation and i work well.

But on Kickstart 3.0 or 3.1 the in-game environment graphics have wrong colors. Everything is a kind of green. So it test it with some other amigas and emulates and can say, these bugs don't appear on kickstart 1.3 and 2.x. Only from 3.0 and above.

So thought about it and think there must be away like WHDLOAD that "emulates" a kickstart 1.3 on startup if a game need kickstart 1.3. But how is WHDLOAD doing this? I don't want to use Relokick or skick. I just want it do like WHDLOAD that "emulates" kick 1.3 only if the game is executed.

Another way that I don't have testes is, perhaps the bug don't appears on kickstart 3.1.4. But I don't have it. It would be cool if anyone with these kickstart could test it. Soul Crystal adf-files can be found without problem on the internet.

I attach 2 screenshots where you can see the bug.

You will find the same problem with OS 3.1.4, to solve it you need a degrader that emulates kickstart 1.3 as TUDE.

TUDE Work too, but the WHDLOAD Package of Aladin is more comfortable because it needs no reboot.

Thank you guys.

No, it does not work !!!

The generic WHDLoad version only works if you press here (and nowhere else) <picture down below>

(that means, the game has almost no music, no animations n stuff, basicly the LOW setting)

With TUDE, we can only play from disk (no, thanks )

So, the only Solution for me is to Kick a Kickstart2 Romfile with the Amiga600 Furia MapRom Function

Another would be a true WHDLoad slave or better, a Patch for this game to work correctly on 3.0+
(which is weird, the game came out in 1992 and it does not like 3.0+)

I also tried every cracked and alternative version there is. No one fixed that

Too Bad This is a really unique and wonderful crafted point&click Adventure.

There is no Text input even if it looks that way, but there is ALOT of great & funny text. The game is even self aware I really like that kind of Humor

Great game with a even greater BUG. It dosent like Kickstart 3.0+

I've just tried it with the available Workbench 1.3 slave and it seems to work fine.

But I manually copied the disks to the data folder and edited the startup-sequence to assign all disks (including Soul Save).

The only problem is the limited amount of Ram that the Workbench slave has. So, I actually got around to set up the developer files and changed the amount of Ram in the source. And it let's me select the highest values for each option. So maybe someone else can figure it out from there. This was the first time I ever compiled something myself.

You can actually edit the slave to work with disk images instead of HD and congrats on your first compile

But to change it to disk images you need to edit the source anyway or not? And I assume that would be way over my head. At least changing the ram size is documented. Although I'm not sure if it is really necessary to do that when using WHDLoad. Since I guess that shopping menu just let's you choose what/how much should be copied to ram.

And I also had changed the startup-sequence before so it was easier to copy the files.
