Adding RTC functionality to A500 expansion
Hi all,
I found the Neuroth Mega 2/8 (page on amiga.resource.cx) in the no RTC version. I bet the two versions (RTC and non-RTC) use the same cuircuit board so I would like to try and turn mine into an RTC version! Do you guys think it is possible? |

the resistors are no problem and can be determined by the pictures, but can someone identify the values of:
Also, there is what appears to be a logic chip on the top left corner; how do I identify/find such a thing? |

Oh. Here comes the time for me to learn how to read schematics...
 Just took a quick look at the page with RTC schematics...  Do you really think the tracks and components will be the same?

I'm having a hard time trying to match the expansion layout with the A500+ schematics.
Resistors The schematics show 2x470Ω, 2x1kΩ, 1x10kΩ The expansion pic on Amiga Resource has 3x460Ω and 2x10kΩ... (not counting the 2x10kΩ on the Gary adapter)  Caps Schematics show 4 caps, including a variable one (6.8-45pF) Expansion: there are 5 visible caps* on the photo, and none is variable There's a 74LS05 logic on the schematics, none on the expansion. I believe I'm way too lame to do this. Thought it could be fun/some kind of learning course, but I'll just give it up.  * I mean "extra caps compared to the non-RTC version" |
