PAL vs. NTSC
I've been looking at the Amiga DAT files and I notice that very few games have the video mode or country of origin marked.
Is this because you guys don't know where the images came from? Or do you not care that much? It's a bit frustrating because I imaged some USA games with hashes that aren't in the database, but I can't tell if someone has already distributed an NTSC/US copy already. Another question: Is there any way to check if a game is PAL/NTSC by running it in UAE? It seemed a lot more obvious back in the day... Thanks |

In WinUAE's chipset settings, you can toggle NTSC, which you can use to determine the video mode. Many times the games in TOSEC are PAL or cracked with the PAL check removed.
