Quick check. It looks valid and it does boot in emulation. Oddly enough it is different than previously known 1.1 but version strings are still same.

In the zone. (first rom is 64k because it was stored in 64k OTP EEPROM even if only half of it is visible in address space)

Data in the old/previous 64KB image is not just doubled, each quarter of the data is different in two bytes (probably corresponding to the ExpansionRom data). Maybe changing jumper positions changes which half of the ROM data is visible? (Could that be related to selecting the on-board RAM size?)

currently no ram attached and no jumpers on the 2 ram switches internally

No drivers visible in these screenshots. If it autoboots, the driver will come from ROM.

So the install disk is probably just a drive preparation for older workbench?

A better idea is to lha it up with no compression. You will get CRCs and it will preserve all the filesystem attributes. Fat32 is not amiga compatible in every sense.

Unfortunately it isn't that simple situation because this ROM has 100% identical version numbers compared to previous dump, functional differences are unknown and this ROM can't be dumped 100% without ROM reader (part of ROM is hidden under IO addresses, sometimes "hidden" part of ROM contains something interesting)

I'll probably add this as an "alternate" version later.

Would one of the cheap eBay eeprom things be able to read it... From my photos I can't even recognize where the ROM is! Lol

The EPROM is the large chip with ceramic package, label on it says IC6 V1. Any EPROM programmer should be able to read it.

2 updates:

i made a dump of the HDD thank you
https://amiga.retro-robot.co.uk/REFERENCE100backup.lha

some nice mods in there

I finally got some matching 1mb simms and put them in but they arent detected, could it be bad ram since the pair needs to be good? or do i have the wrong type?

not the mysterious switch at the back which read is attached to "scsi commit" on the pcb, i guess for the scsi
