SCSI cdrom not working on A500
Hi all,
i just installed a SCSI cdrom drive to my A500 with A590 (hd). Ive installed CacheCDFS and it all runs well. When i insert a original pc-cd the drive shows up on desktop of WB2.0, all perfect! But when i insert a burned cd with nothing more then .adf files on it it doesnt show up. Its a Yamaha crw6416S burner. What could it be? Are my burnsetting correct? I burn with Nero and i choosed lowest speed (8x) and Disc-at-once. What i going wrong. Somebody told me that it could be my drive thats not accepting burned cd's, but its a burner..... i believe this burner can read burned cd's, otherwise why is it a burner????? Open a shell and try to access the CD from there, the files should be there

if i type "cd0:" in a shell, i get back, theres no DOS disk in drive. But when i insert a original cd the drive shows up on the desktop. But he said no DOS disk, what could that mean? Is "cd0:" the correct way to open a cd in shell?

If your drive is mounted as CD0: then yes, it should be the correct way
Hmmm, have you tried making a copy of a WORKING cd ??? Maybe the SCSI CDrom is not very good in reading CD-Rs ??? Or try burning in Mode 2 + Joliet, that way all of the CDFS on Amiga should be able to read the CD

How to burn in Mode2 + joliet, in which program can i select these things? Im not very clever in these things, so please explain how to create that one.

Sorry, I´m not Up-to-Date with PC Burning Software, I only use my Amiga for burning these days
A loooong (???) time ago there was an option in Nero where you can choose the Mode and wether it will be Joliet Names or not .... don´t know about newer Versions ... |
