Progressive Peripherals & Software ProRAM 2000
I have one of these cards in my "box of stuff". It appears to be fully populated, but no additonal RAM appears in my A2000 (or A3000) with it inserted.
I am unable to find any old manual or instructions for it. Does anyone have a card like this and know how the jumpers work? I think a similar card was sold by ASDG called the "8MI" but mine has many more jumpers, and it's not documented either. |

Thanks very much, but unfortunately it's an entirely different card.

Micron also sold the same/similar card. There are some full page ads in the 1988/1989 Amiga World magazines that have full page ads from Micron where the jumper settings are visible. Possible that those will help. And some jumpers may actual change the autoconfig IDs so you may end up with a “Micron” or “ASDG” card... (I think the jumper field in the middle may have been used for that)

Do you have any other cards with Zorro2 memory in your machine? They might conflict... Also, does the card show in your early boot screen?

Here is a picture of the PPS variant (ProRAM 2000) of that (ASDG/PPS/Micron) 8 MB (8MI) board. Jumpers are set for 4 MB.
This card is fully functional in one of my A2000s with these jumper settings. If yours has many more jumpers then I think it may be similar to the ASDG 2 MB (2MI) and the Micron 2 MB board. Can you post a picture? What kind of DRAM chips are on the board? (41256 or 41464 -> 2 MB board , 44256 or 41000 -> 8 MB board) Maybe PPS sold both versions (the 2 MB and the 8 MB) under the same name? Last edited by ChristianS; 03 March 2020 at 07:50. |

It's very similar to that. It has 41256 chips on it, so populated as 2M (sockets). There is an extra set of jumpers in the middle of the card also.
I'll take a quick photo this evening. |

PP&S ProRAM 2000
I purchased the ASDG variant last summer, fully populated and working as received. If it's any help in trying to figure out the jumpers, I've included 2 pictures. The two AB jumpers are a bit blurry, but they are in the upper (A) position. I too have been looking for any documentation, it appears none is available for any of them. I think the ASDG version is newer. Good luck.
