BPPC and BVision problem

Hello!
I have problem with using Classic WB with graphic card. I'm using FULL version of ClassicWB and after install CGX4 and try to chose some CGX screen mode- A1200 will rebot and show guru. If I try to save screenmode than I can't run ClassicWB anymore. Any idea?

I'm pretty sure you have Fblit/Ftext enabled.
I'd strongly suggest before you setup CGX, to disable, FBlit/FText from Bloodwych's components menu.

To not reinstall everything from scratch you can boot without startup-sequence (from Early Startup Menu) and issue the following commands:
Code:
1> cd c
1> execute Fblit_disable
... and then restart.

Btw, I strongly suggest to try a different ClassicWB version if you have a BPPC/BVision combo. ClassicWB Full is awesome but it's iconset (SmallMagic) is based for LoRes native modes. Icons should be really thin on RTG setups.
ClassicWB AdvSp or even better (if you have OS3.9) ClassicWB3.9 are really nice for these powerful combo.

I have legal os 3.5, so, I'll try to install it. Is there any big difference between os 3.5 and 3.9?

And what about install SFS and WOS with classic WB? Can I use only SFS for my HD, ar I need to use it with FFS on some partition? I have found only this strange install solution.

OFC you can use SFS only
It's what most of us doing for years.

Just keep your Primary system partition on 500-1000MB. For using an HD larger than 4GB you'll need updated SCSI.device. Just make one step at a time and we'll be here to help

Check the features here:
- OS3.5: http://www.gregdonner.org/workbench/wb_35.html
- OS3.9: http://www.gregdonner.org/workbench/wb_39.html

Just install ClassicWB as the instructions say. After you're finished, you can double click the Run icon, then Settings button and then Components.
Then you can Enable/Disable everything you want.
Depending on the version u have, if you have CyberBugFix, disable it as well (if you install RTG system like CGX).

You should use the 060 libraries from phase 5 that work just fine. To help ya a bit, I gathered the latest versions in one archive which you can grab from here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/939939/BPPC_060_Libs.lha

If you use a SCSI HD in BPPC's SCSI interface, then scsi.device (=IDE interface) doesn't need update at all.
SCSI support large HD's so you're good to go if you choose that path.

First I need to make SCSI cable for my BPPC, problem is I have HDD with 68PINs and have no idea how to make proper connections.
Now I study SFS documentation, so it'll be no problem to install it. And one more- which file system is better, SFS, or PFS3?

AFAIK PFS3 is kinda better and a plus thing is that it can be used even in 68000 CPU.
I always preffered SFS for some reason for all my setups, but I always had 68030/68060 CPUs so never worried about that. PFS3 both on my IDE of my 030 A600 and on my BPPC's SCSI was a bit slower than SFS.
Since both Filesystems are free and nice, you can make 2 partitions and clone your setup to both, and see which is better for you

But if there is no big diference I'll better use one of them, SFS is more popular, I think, so I'll try it. It's more than better than FFS so I'ts "must have" thing

I can't find any information of SCSI interface, Is there any existing documentation for this standard? For devices with 50PIN interface its just one-to-one configuration, but what if I have 68PIN HDD? Is any schematic of "reduction" available anywhere?

No, desktop, I don't like towers. CDrom will be removed, to move files i'm using CF card via PCMCIA. I have no shield into A1200, so I can leave HDD almost on PCB. I have plan how to do it. But have no idea how to connect this all

I think you should buy a 50pin harddrive and some cable from Amigakit http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=180. They can tell you what you need, not sure if they have the Hd's.
