I just got more than 4000 C64 Disks in boxes by some friends of mine, they don´t use it and since they call me a retro-maniac, they thought it would be a good idea to give them away to me

Anyway, as I´m not very deep into the C64 retro scene, could any of you post some URGENT WANTED C64 GAMES and I´ll have a look if I have some missing games in my collection .... so if you know ANY C64 game that is missing on the net, do a post ! NOW !

I´ll let this thing run for some weeks to collect some answers, I´ll also got some spare time in summer, so .....

Please, please take good care of these disks, and when you got time please transfer them to the PC.
4000 disks indeed is a LOT ! I have collected C64 games for over 15 years and my collection was about 2000 disks in the end, having more than 5000 games. Also I know some of the biggest collectors around the globe and I don't think anyone had more disks !

Very rare games I would say are Murder by US-Gold, Daffy Duck by High-Tec and Megatwins.

4000 disks! Who know's retroman-you might have the missing development game-code for the C64 version of Parasol Stars!From memory the game was mid-way thru development when the programmer's house was burgled & his C64 & everything to do with the game stolen with it. Due to the declining state of C64 sales, Ocean decided not to bother restarting from scratch!

Anyway a game I have yet to find yet enjoyed playing in the past is called Zypar Warriors. It was a really fun two player effort on hoverdisks.

Would luv to c this title again.

I´m got some sort of problem

Right now I just want to see, what is on those disks ! I got a C128D here to read them out and I DON´T want to transfer all disks right now, that would be too painfull, also I want to check for dupes first .... Is there ANY program for C128D that can save those directory listings into a txt file ??? As I said, it must be a C128D program !

@Retroman, I remember a C64 program that would do this called Supercat. Basically a floppy disk cataloger that would read in the entire disk directory track and you could select what info you wanted to save into the db entry for later sorting and of course reports. Problem is that the programmer stopped coding it years ago and I'm not sure there are any copys around anymore

@Overdoc, yes Arnold is a good site for a lot of C64 titles. I downloaded their entire site to my hard drive for burning onto a CD. Their entire site is just under 1GB at about 8000+ files. Looks like I'll have to see if it can be compressed any further then this or do I just burn it to two CD's

They are coming out with a c64 database with over 14000 entries. Check with them to see if you have anything they may be missing. They have a missing list posted on their site.

Retro: how about a basic program? I know you can find one in the manual that will let you dump a directory onto the printer. I suppose you could modify it to dump the contents onto a file? Or if you have a C= printer around, you could print the dirs

Lemon has no more downloads methinks, since it went V2 is a community site now. At least that's what I think, I never dloaded a thing from Lemon.

Do not forget Digital Dungeon, Banana Republic and Gangsta's Paradise (follows Commodore Wire descriptions):

• Elysium's Banana Republic is another massive collection - I'd estimate it holds around 4500 titles! One interesting thing about the BR that I've noticed is the large proportion of T64 files to be found here...

• The Digital Dungeon is another great source of classic C64 games, divided into two sections - the main archive and the new archive. This "new" section contains a number of games that have only recently been cracked (generally speaking, the newer the crack, the better - more cheat options, docs, etc). The games you'll find in there are the best versions around, guaranteed! Between the two sections, the Digital Dungeon totals 3200 games.

• The games archive offered at Gangsta's Paradise contains some newer, less well known titles as well as several classics, with the quantity reaching 2500 in total. (down due a hd crash)
